Kyrgyzstan and the UAE Discussed the Introduction of a Visa-Free Regime for Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic

The Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a meeting with Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, Kasymaliev noted that the memorandum on mutual recognition of driving licenses signed in April last year was an important step that contributed to improving conditions for citizens of both countries and strengthening bilateral relations.

It was emphasized during the conversation that Kyrgyzstan and the UAE actively cooperate in the field of security, including the fight against transnational organized crime and crimes in the financial and digital spheres.

The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying the successful practices of the UAE in the area of digitizing law enforcement agencies and implementing modern systems for monitoring and preventing crime.

Additionally, Kasymaliev requested to consider the possibility of introducing a visa-free regime for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, aiming to simplify travel to the UAE.

Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that the ties between the leadership of the two countries are strong, and the UAE considers Kyrgyzstan as a partner state. He also promised to discuss the possibility of visa-free entry for Kyrgyz citizens and to send specialists from the UAE to Kyrgyzstan for experience exchange in the field of security.
