15-year-old Bakmurat Saparaaliev from Talas has won a silver medal at the international English language Olympiad and received the opportunity to study abroad. This was reported by his mother, Zhyldyz Kozubekova.

According to her, Bakmurat has been attending English language courses for three months.

“Teachers note his determination and diligence, as well as his interest in learning. They inspired him to participate in the international Olympiad, saying that he is capable of winning,” she said.

The competition took place on January 31 and February 1 in Bishkek, where the strongest students from across the country gathered. About 600 participants took part in the Olympiad. Over two days, Bakmurat secured second place, earning him a silver medal and a certificate to participate in the Olympiad that will be held in London or Abu Dhabi.

Despite coming in second, Bakmurat was not upset. He stated, “This will be a motivation for me to achieve further success; I need to study even harder.”

Bakmurat dreams of mastering the English language at a professional level in the future, traveling, and, like his idol Chubak Azhy, teaching the fundamentals of religion and becoming a theologian.

“To realize this dream, he needs to work even harder. His father and I are also doing everything we can to help him develop independently. We believe that he will achieve his goals and become a valuable member of society,” added Z. Kozubekova.
