The new heroine of the "Unusual Names" column is Altynchach Osmonalieva, who lives in the village of Togolok Moldo, located in the Ak-Talinsky district of the Naryn region.

Since 2015, she has been working at her alma mater, starting as a librarian and later becoming a teacher. Altynchach was born on February 11, 1975, and spent her childhood in Togolok Moldo. She received her education at the school named after Zhorobek Satylganov, where she studied from 1981 to 1992, and then at the Naryn State University named after Kadyrbai Mambetakunov, earning a degree as a primary school teacher. In 1995, she graduated from the Naryn State University named after Satybaldy Naamotov with a bachelor's degree.

Unfortunately, eight years ago, Altynchach lost her husband. She shared about her family: "My grandmother raised me. There are five of us in the family: two brothers and three sisters. My father and one of my brothers have passed away. My mother worked as a nurse and is now retired, living with my younger son in Kemine. I have a son and a daughter. My daughter is married, and my son is in the sixth grade. I have four grandchildren," she shared.

Altynchach talked about her journey to becoming a teacher: "I chose this profession back in school, but my family hoped I would become a seamstress or a designer, as I have skills in handicrafts. The only one who supported me was my mother. In 2017-2018, I worked as a deputy principal at a primary school, but in the following academic year, the number of students decreased, and the position was dissolved. Two years ago, I started teaching again; before that, I worked as a librarian since there were no available vacancies," she said.

In addition to teaching, Osmonalieva enjoys handicrafts. "I worked as a seamstress for many years, making shyrdaks, embroidering, sewing in patchwork technique, and working with beads. I used to have orders and also worked on decorating Kyrgyz yurts. However, now, working at the school, I don't have time for handicrafts," noted Altynchach.

She also shared the origin of her name: "My father named me that. As a child, I didn't like my name. One day, he told an interesting fairy tale, from which I learned that the name 'Altynchach' (which means 'golden-haired') belonged to a queen. Since then, I have loved my name. My father also named his younger brother's daughter Gülməri, but she is now unhappy with her name," she said.

Altynchach recalled a funny incident when she found herself in dust on the Bayetov-Kosh-Döbö road: "In 2018, I went to a district seminar in Kosh-Döbö. All the teachers and librarians gathered and went together. Suddenly, everyone started putting on scarves and cloaks. I was surprised because the weather was warm. Later, I realized that the road was very bad, and we all drove out in dust while the others were clean," she recalls with a smile.

Altynchach also talked about her first experience with grading: "When I first started teaching, there was a student who showed no interest in studying. I gave him a failing grade, and this upset his grandmother. I was scared when I learned that she knew me well. But after that, she stopped being upset and just wished me success in my work," she said.
