A resident of Kant, Nika Kurilo, faced serious problems when trying to obtain documents for her children. In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, she shared her difficult story.

Nika recounted that her mother, 55-year-old Larisa Izmailovna Kurilo, was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan, receiving her education there and remaining a citizen of the country for a long time. However, in the 1990s, Larisa married a Ukrainian and changed her citizenship. Upon returning to Kyrgyzstan in the 2000s, she used her old Ukrainian passport, which is now invalid due to expiration. According to Nika, the family has been trying for many years to restore the documents but has been unsuccessful. The Ukrainian embassy, citing the complicated situation in the country and military actions, is unable to help. "We find ourselves in a difficult position, and we cannot solve the problem. My mother is a hero mother; she raised nine children," Nika noted.

Interestingly, of Larisa's nine children, four are already citizens of Kyrgyzstan. However, the two youngest—Nika, born in 2003, and her brother, born in 2008—still have not received passports. "I got married and have two children, but I cannot officially register my marriage and obtain documents for them. This creates significant difficulties for me both in everyday life and at work," Nika added.

Larisa has 18 grandchildren, 11 of whom live in Kyrgyzstan.
