The Kangeldieva couple celebrated their anniversary in 2021, marking 50 years of marriage in Tokmok.

Gulsana Isaakovna Kangeldieva, born in 1949 in Karakol (Przhevalsk), married Almaz Saginbekovich Kangeldieva in 1971. They have one son and two grandchildren: granddaughter Melissa, who is 18 years old, and grandson Timur, who is 17.

Both spouses have higher education: Gulsana Isaakovna is a teacher of the Russian language and literature, while her husband is a cinematographer. For over ten years, she worked as an assistant director at Kyrgyz television and held positions as an assistant and director of various literary and musical programs. Later, Gulsana worked as a secretary and head of the department at the book center of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan. Almaz, her husband, also worked in the film industry, participating in the filming of feature and documentary films.

The couple met during the filming of the movie "Scarlet Poppies of Issyk-Kul," where Gulsana Isaakovna played episodic roles. According to her, it was during that time, when Almaz was the second cameraman, that their acquaintance began. "In 1971, we got married in Frunze. After the wedding, his 100-year-old grandmother placed a white scarf on my head and gave her blessing. She lived to be 102, maintaining a clear mind. My father-in-law and mother-in-law, along with my mother, organized the wedding in our yard, setting up a yurt. We remember that day with admiration – it was the meeting of two families, marked by long conversations, songs, and laughter. We believe that the blessing of these great people became the foundation of our joint path," shares Gulsana Isaakovna.
Gulsana Isaakovna noted that the respectful relationship examples of her father-in-law and mother-in-law significantly influenced their family life. "We lived with my parents for 18 years and never saw them in quarrels. My mother-in-law was a housewife, helping my father-in-law with work. If misunderstandings arose between Almaz and me, we always discussed them. At that time, everyone was busy with work, but my parents always found time for us, urging us to respect our spouse's relatives," she said.

According to Gulsana, the upbringing received from their parents became the foundation of their life. Together with her husband, they overcame many difficulties, which only strengthened their bond. "Unfortunately, young people today often place material values above family ones. Men should respect their wives more and pay attention to their children. The main thing is to be a united whole, and only then will the relationship be strong," she emphasized. During Soviet times, the couple received several awards for their labor achievements. However, with the collapse of the USSR, they faced difficulties. In 1990, their eldest son tragically died at the age of 16; he was an outstanding student and activist. "He drowned trying to save his friends. We did not break down; on the contrary, we became stronger and began to help others," added Kangeldieva.

Gulsana Isaakovna was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the authorized representative of the government in the Chui region and other awards from public organizations. She also held the position of chairperson of the public council under the Ministry of Social Development.
