Mamuralieva Fatima

Film director. Born on May 20, 1924, in the village of Taldy-Suu, Tyup District, Issyk-Kul Region, into a peasant family. After graduating from high school in Frunze in 1941, she enrolled in the Kyrgyz group of GITIS named after A.V. Lunacharsky. In 1946, she worked as an assistant director at the Frunze Film Chronicle Studio in the filming group of the movie "Soviet Kyrgyzstan" by M. Slutsky. In September 1947, she became a student at the directing faculty of VGIK (workshop of I. Savchenko). She was an assistant director on the film "The Third Strike" ("Mosfilm"). Since July 1951, she joined the Frunze Studio as a director of chronicles. From 1963, she transitioned to directing the dubbing of feature films from Russian to Kyrgyz. However, she did not sever ties with documentary cinema, periodically releasing issues of the film magazine "Soviet Kyrgyzstan".

For 17 years, F. Mamuralieva dubbed dozens of films, including well-known titles such as "The Lady with the Dog," "Native Blood," "Resurrection," "Father of a Soldier," "Lenin in Poland," "Mother's Fidelity," "The Virgin Lands," "Journalist," "We'll Live Until Monday," "The Gallop of the Trotter," "Commissioners," and "The End of the Lyubavins."

F. Mamuralieva is the first female director in Kyrgyzstan. She is credited with the documentary film "Bon Voyage" (1956).

Member of the USSR Union of Cinematographers since 1959.
