Nurzhan was born in 1988 in the Kara-Kulja district of the Osh region and currently lives in a social town in the village of Petrovka in the Tört-Gül rural district of the Chuy region.
“I spent my childhood in the mountain village of Ulyanov in the Kara-Kulja district of Osh region. After finishing school, I enrolled in Osh State University, but due to life circumstances, I continued my studies at the Karabalta College 'Abai'. I am a teacher. Together with my husband, we are raising two sons and three daughters. Our eldest son, Amantur, is 16 years old, has been disabled since birth, and moves around in a wheelchair,” she said.
Considering that the children are still small, in 2022 she received 100,000 soms from the government through a social contract to improve her financial situation. With this money, she bought 9 sheep, which she kept in different yards since she did not have her own plot of land. Living in a social town, she had to sell the sheep. In six months, Nurzhan earned 80,000 soms in net profit and applied to the village administration to open a food service point. She received support and was allocated 2 acres of land. She purchased a metal container, opened a small café, and created two jobs. “These are my first steps in business. In the future, I want to open a full-fledged enterprise and provide people with jobs,” she added.
According to information from Keneshbek Sadygaliev, a leading specialist at the district labor, social security, and migration department, 389 citizens in the district are working under social contracts from 2022 to 2025.
“In the new rural district of Tört-Gül, created as a result of administrative reform, 68 families are participating in the social contract program. Nurzhan Obodoeva, a resident of the social town, is one of them. She developed her livestock farming and, using the funds received, opened a café, creating two jobs for cooks,” he added.
Representatives from the district labor, social security, and migration department, as well as local residents, attended the opening of the establishment.
