Lawyer and historian Kanikey Momunova headed the "Shakh-Fazil" reserve

52-year-old Kanikei Momunova has become the new director of the state historical and cultural reserve-museum "Shakh-Fazil." This was reported by a correspondent from Turmush.
The order for her appointment was signed by the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev. The position was previously held by Erkin Begimkulov, who left the post voluntarily.
The "Shakh-Fazil" reserve is located in the Ala-Buka district of the Jalal-Abad region and represents an important historical, cultural, and religious sanctuary. This building, likely constructed in the 11th-12th centuries during the Karakhanid period, is considered one of the most significant Islamic architectural monuments in Central Asia. In 2016, the complex was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.
