On October 30, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 709, which amended the previously effective resolution dated March 22, 2022, No. 151, concerning the structure of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Uzgen".

According to the new decision, three mausoleums, a minaret, and the first shahristan, which represents the mausoleum of Said Burkhaniddin Kylch, are transferred to the museum-reserve. Additionally, a protective zone of 3.5 hectares is also transferred.

Furthermore, a land plot of 0.12 hectares is allocated, which houses the archaeological site — the second shahristan (N. Aznabakiev Park), where active archaeological research is being conducted.

According to this resolution, the joint responsibility for ensuring the preservation, restoration, and museification of archaeological objects within the city is assigned to the state administration of the Uzgen district of the Osh region and the city administration of Uzgen.

The purpose of adopting this document is to preserve and develop objects of historical and cultural heritage in accordance with the laws "On Museums and the Museum Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic," "On the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage," and "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."

The resolution comes into effect upon its official publication.
