Prior to Momunova's appointment, the position of director of the reserve was held by Erkin Imankulovich Begimkulov, who left at his own request.
Kanykey Nasirdinovna was born on July 17, 1973, in the village of Zhapа-Saldy, located in the Ala-Buka district of the Jalal-Abad region. She studied law at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek University, obtaining a bachelor's degree from 2017 to 2020, and also graduated from the Faculty of History of Osh State University from 1997 to 2000.
Momunova began her career in 1993, working as a history teacher at the V. Belinsky Secondary School. From 2013 to 2024, she served as the responsible secretary of the Ak-Tam rural district, and in 2024, she worked as the deputy head of the T. Baltagulov rural district. Kanykey Nasirdinovna holds the title of 2nd class municipal service advisor.
