
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh was detained after attacking a man with an axe. This information was provided by the press service of the city's police department.
According to the data, the incident occurred on November 6 at around 17:34. The Lenin District Police Department received a report from the micro-surgery department of the National Hospital that a 35-year-old man named B.E. had been hospitalized with serious injuries — a chopped wound on the second finger of his left hand and an open fracture.
According to the victim, he filed a written statement indicating that the incident happened on November 6 at around 13:30 in one of the houses on Asanaliev Street. During a quarrel that arose out of jealousy regarding his wife, a 43-year-old homeowner named Sh.K. threatened him, took an axe out of a sports bag, and attacked B.E., uttering the threat "I will kill you both."
With the first blow, he struck the victim's thigh, and with the second, he hit the index finger, resulting in the finger being partially severed.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under the article "Attempted Murder" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect Sh.K. has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The police department clarified that the detainee is a candidate for deputies in the multi-mandate electoral district No. 27. The initials of the suspect match those of the candidate Kanat Shabdanbaev, born in 1982.
According to open sources, Kanat Shabdanbaev was born on February 9, 1982, in the village of Taldy-Suu, located in the Tyup District of the Issyk-Kul region.
