Obtaining this status will allow local settlements to become independent territorial units within the corresponding ayil district, which will enhance their status and open new opportunities for socio-economic development. It is expected that the new status will contribute to attracting investments and improving the use of internal resources.
According to representatives of the State Agency for State Service and Local Self-Government, this step will provide local communities with greater initiative and responsibility in addressing local issues. Furthermore, residents of these settlements will be able to register their place of residence in the new ayil.
All documents necessary for the designation of ayil status have been prepared in accordance with legal norms. Decisions regarding the new status were made at meetings with residents of the relevant settlements, which were then approved by local councils and district administrations, as well as by the orders of the authorized representatives of the president in the specified regions. The issue of the status of the settlements was reviewed and approved on September 5, 2025, at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on administrative-territorial structure.
According to the proposal, the following settlements may be classified as ayils:
Batken Region
- Ak-Sai from the Bakai ayil district of Batken District;
- Kara-Bak from the Alty-Adyr ayil district of Batken District;
- Samarkandek from the Orto-Sai ayil district of Batken District.
- Jany-Ala from the Alymbek Datka ayil district of Alay District;
- Too-Moyun from the Ak-Bosogo ayil district of Aravan District;
- Too-Moyun from the Birimdik ayil district of Aravan District;
- Too-Moyun from the Dostuk ayil district of Aravan District;
- Too-Moyun from the Jashtyk ayil district of Aravan District;
- Too-Moyun from the Intymak ayil district of Aravan District.
- Kara-Buura from the Balikchy ayil district of Aitmatov District.
