Daniyar Bekzhanov, a farmer from the Suusamyr Valley in the Chui region, has been successfully breeding Areshan sheep for ten years.

Born in 2000 in the Jayil district, Daniyar started livestock farming at the age of 15. The young farmer has achieved impressive results — his sheep are priced from 1,000 to 6,000 dollars.

His herd includes rams bred from the French and Golden lines. A particular pride of Bekzhanov is a ram named Toybos, which has won championships for weight and height at exhibitions for two consecutive years. “I am married and raising a son. I have been connected to livestock farming since childhood, and I have been working with Areshan sheep since I was 15. In the future, I plan to participate in exhibitions to reach new heights,” the farmer shared.

Daniyar Bekzhanov started with a small herd — just 10 Areshan sheep. “Every year I increase the herd to 30-40 heads, and I sell the surplus. Back then, ordinary sheep cost about 6,000 soms, while Areshan sheep were 15,000 soms. Now the price of this breed ranges from 1,000 to 7,000 dollars. I have big plans; I want to develop breeding and strengthen my farm,” Daniyar added.
