Gusev Boris Nikolaevich
Candidate of Biological Sciences, laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR in the field of science and technology.
Born in 1941. After graduating from the institute, he began his professional career at the Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR.
A specialist in the field of animal virology, he conducts scientific research on the development of an oral vaccine and a new technology for producing vaccines against sheep pox, studying the immunopathogenesis and immunobiological properties of the pathogens of contagious ecthyma and chlamydial abortion in sheep and goats.
As a result of Gusev B. N.'s research, the following have been implemented:
- live cultured virus vaccine against contagious pustular dermatitis (stomatitis) in sheep;
- a kit for diagnosing chlamydiosis in agricultural animals.
Laureate of the All-Union Review of Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth, awarded the medal “Participant of the VDNH of the Kyrgyz SSR” and a Certificate of Honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR and the Council of the All-Union Society of Inventors and Rationalizers of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Published more than 60 scientific works, author of 13 inventions.
