It has been reported that the Air Force of Uzbekistan will be the first in Central Asia to begin operating the C-390 Millennium, significantly enhancing their capabilities in transportation and humanitarian assistance.
The C-390 Millennium is a modern military transport aircraft capable of carrying up to 26 tons of cargo, exceeding the capabilities of similar medium-sized models. Its maximum speed reaches 470 knots, and its range is also impressive.
This aircraft can perform a variety of tasks, including cargo transport, air dropping, medical evacuation, search and rescue operations, firefighting, and humanitarian missions. The C-390 Millennium is capable of taking off and landing on unpaved and temporary runways.
Additionally, the aircraft is equipped with a quick-release equipment system for in-flight refueling and can be used both as a refueler and as a receiver.
“The Millennium is fully NATO compatible and is ideally suited for Agile Combat Employment (ACE),” the report emphasizes.
The Air Forces of Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, and Lithuania have also chosen the C-390 Millennium for their operations.
Currently, the Air Force of Uzbekistan continues to use Il-76 and CASA C-295 aircraft.
