
The first consultation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Egypt, dedicated to consular issues, took place in a videoconference format.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyrgyz delegation was headed by the Director of the Consular Department, Seytek Jumakadyrov, while the Egyptian delegation was led by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Haddad El Gohari.
During the meeting, important issues concerning the current state and future prospects of bilateral consular cooperation were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the interaction between the parties and the expansion of the legal framework in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of April 24, 1963. The topic of ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of both countries, as well as creating comfortable conditions for their stay, was also raised.
At the end of the consultations, both sides confirmed their readiness for active cooperation on all issues of mutual interest.
