President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree that amends the previously adopted document from August 28, 2025, under number 250, concerning the state monopoly on the training of medical specialists.
According to the new decree dated February 2, 2026, No. 27, the changes are aimed at improving the system of training medical and pharmaceutical personnel and strengthening international academic cooperation, with mandatory compliance with state quality education standards and national security requirements.
The document adds a new clause that grants private higher medical educational institutions the right to enter into international agreements with universities in the USA, provided that they are accredited.
These agreements will facilitate the implementation of joint educational programs and projects in the field of training personnel in medicine and pharmaceuticals.
The decree will come into effect upon its official publication.
