According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the detainee had been on international wanted list since 2023 based on a "red notice" related to a crime under Article 209 "Fraud in a particularly large amount" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Y.M., in collusion with citizen A.Ch., who held a managerial position in a company engaged in the sale of petroleum products, committed the theft of heating fuel. As a result of their actions, 1536.51 tons of fuel were stolen, amounting to 51,780,387 soms.
Currently, Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies are working on the issue of extraditing the detainee to hold him criminally accountable.
At present, there are eight citizens wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan for various offenses in HSI (ICE) detention centers, undergoing deportation procedures. Three of them have already been deported to the Kyrgyz Republic.
