The head of state stated that the decision was made in the interests of the country
Askat Alagozov, the press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, commented on the recent resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to him, President Sadyr Japarov noted:
“I made this decision primarily in the interests of our state, to avoid a split in society, including disagreements between state structures, and, on the contrary, to strengthen unity,” Alagozov conveyed the president's words.
It is worth noting that today the president signed a decree according to which Kamchybek Tashiev has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the GKNB.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting head of the GKNB.
