During the discussion of the bills, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), Kurvanbek Avazov, emphasized that the current legislation regarding the establishment of special ranks and class ranks has led to the inappropriate use of insignia characteristic of military personnel on the uniforms of civil servants. The main objective of the proposed bills is to regulate the use of such insignia, including a ban on their wearing by employees of tax and customs authorities (with the exception of certain units), as well as the prosecutor's office (except for the military prosecutor's office). For prosecutors, it is planned to maintain a system of class ranks corresponding to their ranks, but military ranks will be abolished.
The Deputy Attorney General, Umutkan Konkubaeva, expressed disagreement with some provisions of the proposed bills, pointing out the potential impact on the independence of the prosecutor's office as an institution.
During the discussion, deputies Kubanychbek Samakov and Nurlanbek Azygaliev raised a number of questions and expressed support for the bills.
