
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, had a telephone conversation today with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the press service of the President's Administration, the discussion focused on the prospects for deepening and expanding bilateral relations aimed at strengthening friendship and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Both presidents noted the positive dynamics in the trade turnover between the two countries and discussed the implementation of joint projects, including the construction of the China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan railway and the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1.
The leaders also touched upon current issues of regional politics and reviewed the plan for upcoming bilateral and multilateral meetings.
