According to local residents, the house was home to a family consisting of three people — a husband, a wife, and their small child. Neighbors report that as a result of the incident, the man sustained significant burns. He is currently in a medical facility and is connected to a ventilator (IVL).
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire signal from the house on Meiman Street was received on February 11, 2026. The first fire crew from the city of Kant arrived at the scene at 01:34, and the second at 01:55. Two units were involved in extinguishing the fire. The complete extinguishment of the blaze was finished by 04:16.
As a result of the incident, a 53-year-old man named I.N. suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning and a first-degree burn on his left cheek.
