On January 11, 2026, a citizen, T.K., contacted the internal affairs authorities of the Issyk-Ata district, expressing concern regarding the actions of an employee of the pawnshop "U.P." — citizen S.M. According to her, S.M., who holds the position of appraiser and cashier at this institution, was issuing fictitious loans at inflated values and embezzling money.
According to preliminary data, from November 2024 to December 31, 2025, citizen S.M. embezzled a total of 4,000,000 soms.
In connection with these circumstances, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for by Article 210 (Embezzlement and Misappropriation of Entrusted Property) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui region.
Citizen S.M., born in 1986, was detained on suspicion of committing the aforementioned crime and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
