Two People Rescued from Under the Ice at Issyk-Kul

Today, February 12, an incident occurred in Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region, when the ice on the lake cracked, and two people fell into the water.

This information was confirmed by the regional emergency management office, which reported that among the victims were a woman T.K. (born in 2008) and a man R.R. (born in 1996).

For the rescue operation, four rescuers from the Karakol city department No. 15 were dispatched to the scene. Thanks to their actions, the woman was successfully pulled from the water and handed over to medical personnel.

As for the man, he was rescued by a local resident who was nearby during the incident.
