According to sources, this incident is not an isolated case. Previously, attacks by wolves on people have also been recorded in GBAO. In one such incident that occurred several years ago in the same area, wolves attacked local residents, including both a child and an adult man — they managed to survive thanks to prompt medical assistance.
The regional authorities have already responded to the incident: the head of the region instructed district leaders to organize adult supervision for schoolchildren in mountainous areas. Residents were also advised to immediately notify services about the appearance of wolves near populated areas.
