The military prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the case of Zhakypbekov, who previously held the position of investigator at the GKNB in the Chui region.
It has been reported that an employee of the GKNB named Duyshenbiev Sydyk (nickname Pito) has also been detained. He worked in the 6th department and was close to Zhakypbekov.
According to Kaktus.media, three more police officers related to Zhakypbekov have been dismissed from their positions. Among them is Rufat Abdurazakova, head of personnel at the Chui region's Internal Affairs Department, who is a relative of Zhakypbekov.
Additionally, Chyngyz Tokoldoshev, head of the Balakchy Internal Affairs Department, and Aizatbek Uchbaev, deputy head of the Pervomaisky District Internal Affairs Department in Bishkek, both considered close friends of the former head of the GKNB, have been removed from their positions.
Significant personnel changes continue in the law enforcement agencies:
- Kamchybek Tashiev has been relieved of his duties as head of the GKNB;
- Acting chairman appointed is Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov;
- Three deputies of the head of the GKNB have been dismissed;
- The head of the GKNB in Bishkek has changed;
- The head of the GKNB for Osh and the region has been relieved of his duties.
Purges in the agencies continue.
