As part of his working trip to the Osh region, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, attended the opening of a new school in the village of Zhylandy in the Uzgen district.
According to information provided by the government, the new educational institution, which accommodates 275 students, is equipped with modern classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and the necessary conditions for learning.
Kasymaliev emphasized that the previous building, which served the village for 50 years, was replaced thanks to the allocation of 152 million soms from the republican budget for construction.
“Education is the foundation of our state. In the modern world, knowledge is more important than power. We strive to create all conditions for quality education and upbringing, in line with global standards and moving towards sustainable development in education. As you know, one of the key priorities of President Sadyr Japarov is to improve the quality of education and infrastructure. This year, 16 new school buildings have been put into operation in the Osh region,” noted Adylbek Kasymaliev.
Speaking to teachers, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed that the development of the country is impossible without improving the quality of educational services. To this end, the state is creating the necessary conditions, including increasing teachers' salaries starting in April of this year.
“Currently, the budget allows for salary increases not only for teachers but also for doctors and cultural workers. Teachers' salaries have already been increased for the second time in recent years. It is important that new schools and reforms in salary payments are connected with a high level of education,” concluded Kasymaliev.
