The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan believes that increasing the breeding stock can reduce the load on pastures

According to Kerimaliev, to reduce the load on pastures, it is necessary to increase the share of highly productive breeding livestock, which, according to experts, can reduce the load by 5%. This means that keeping fewer but more productive animals, both for meat and dairy, will be more beneficial from both an economic and ecological perspective.

To achieve these goals, high-quality breeding seeds of breeds such as Aberdeen Angus, Simmental, and Swedish breeds have been imported into the country. This breeding material is distributed among farmers with the help of veterinary and technical specialists, who also provide consultations as part of the breeding livestock development program.

After the completion of the autumn season, an analysis of the growth and productivity indicators of the new breeds is planned, based on which the effectiveness of this project will be assessed.

The ministry emphasizes that the development of breeding livestock is a strategically important step aimed at protecting pastures and increasing economic efficiency in the agricultural sector.
