In response to these attacks, the Pakistani Air Force conducted airstrikes on positions that Islamabad considers to be "terrorist camps" located on the border with Afghanistan. At the same time, sources from Tolo News reported that strikes were also carried out in the Barmal region of Paktika province, which is located in Afghanistan.
Threat of Terrorism in Pakistan
Attacks related to terrorism mainly occur in provinces such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, which border Afghanistan. These areas are the site of activity for various armed groups that claim to protect the interests of Pashtuns and Baloch people.
Groups operating in these regions carry out attacks on both Pakistani security forces and civilians. Islamabad insists that the Pakistani wing of the "Taliban" conducts its operations from Afghanistan; however, Kabul rejects these accusations.
In Balochistan, one of the most active groups is the "Baloch Liberation Army" (BLA), which advocates for the province's separation from Pakistan and the granting of autonomy to the Baloch population.
