Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will provide each other with embassy buildings free of charge. The law has been signed

President Sadyr Japarov has approved a draft law titled "On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Mutual Provision of Buildings and Land Plots in the Cities of Bishkek and Astana for the Needs of Embassies," which was signed on August 22, 2025, in Bishkek. This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.

The purpose of this legislation is to carry out the necessary domestic procedures for the Agreement to come into force.

According to this Agreement, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will ensure the free use of buildings and land plots in Bishkek and Astana for the needs of their embassies and the residences of ambassadors.

The law will come into effect seven days after its official publication.
