According to Torobaev, Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously held the position of Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, approached him with a request to help sell a plot of land belonging to his relative, located near the "Barcelona" academy in Manas, at a more favorable price.
“I don’t often communicate with my nephew, so to clarify the situation, I contacted my brother: ‘I heard that Erkin has a plot of land that they want to buy; can you connect us?’ Since then, I have not inquired about either the sale price of this land or the terms of the deal itself. Recently, I heard rumors that part of Erkin's property was allegedly seized. To clarify the situation, I called him and asked just a few clarifying questions,” he noted.
