It is worth noting that recently there has been active discussion on the internet regarding an audio recording that allegedly features a conversation between Torobaev and his nephew Erkin. In this recording, the son of the former head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, named Tai-Muras, as well as the current Minister of Health, Kanibek Dosmambetov, were mentioned, and possible coercion to sell a land plot at a low price was discussed. Tai-Muras Tashiev denied the information contained in the recording, as did Bakyt Torobaev himself.
