
A resolution dedicated to the anniversary of the conflict has been adopted
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution marking the fourth anniversary of the start of military actions in Ukraine, aimed at maintaining peace, as reported by official UN sources.
107 countries supported the document, 12 countries rejected it, while 51 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, the USA, and China, decided to abstain from voting.
The adopted resolution emphasizes the importance of Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Despite proposals from the USA, Canada, the EU, and Ukraine, they refrained from voting on the draft they presented.
The majority of European countries, as well as Canada, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and countries from Latin America and Africa supported the resolution.
Among the 12 countries that voted against were Russia, Belarus, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea, and Iran.
Among those who abstained were 51 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, the USA, China, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, Slovakia, and others.
