
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, as of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 job vacancies in the country. The official unemployment rate is 1.3%. Currently, 56,500 people are registered with employment services, of which 38,100 are classified as unemployed.
Kamchybek Dosmatov, the First Deputy Minister of Labor, analyzed the current state of the employment assistance system during a departmental meeting. He noted that the unemployment rate is significantly lower than in 2021–2023, and the number of registered unemployed has decreased by more than 20% over the past year, indicating a reduction in tension in the labor market.
State mediation between employers and job seekers has also influenced this situation. In 2025, the employment service managed to place 17,454 people in jobs.
As for the structure of labor demand, it shows that the country's economy is currently focused on applied and production competencies. Of the total number of vacancies, 4,251 positions are related to skilled trades. Employers are actively seeking tailors, drivers, cooks, welders, construction specialists, as well as IT specialists. In the service sector, there are 1,296 vacancies available, including positions for educators, medical workers, accountants, administrators, and interns.
