With the onset of conflicts in the Middle East, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, as well as the leadership of the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, initiated a number of special measures. He noted that the diplomatic mission is actively engaging with Kyrgyz citizens, including students and pilgrims who arrived for Umrah. A special headquarters has been established to coordinate work with the pilgrims, which collaborates with the Muftiyat, the State Agency for Religious Affairs, and travel agencies.
Maripov added that 35 citizens of Kyrgyzstan currently in Bahrain have also sought assistance. They are in constant communication, and measures are in place to support and ensure their safety in case the situation worsens.
"Air travel in Saudi Arabia is operating in a relatively stable mode, despite the closure of airports in several neighboring countries. Domestic flights are continuing without interruption, and local airlines are continuing to operate international flights, although the number of flights from abroad has decreased," the ambassador reported.The overall situation in Saudi Arabia is assessed as relatively stable, and constant interaction with local authorities is being carried out.
