- At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 4, 2026, Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova drew attention to the current issues of the epizootic situation in the country and the measures aimed at preventing the import of dangerous animal diseases from abroad.

She emphasized that there is an active spread of infections among agricultural animals in neighboring countries.

In this regard, the deputy raised a question about the veterinary measures being implemented in Kyrgyzstan to protect its livestock, including monitoring, preventive actions, and quarantine.

Additionally, she expressed interest in the issue of quality control of meat imported into the country.

Baatyrova highlighted the importance of strict adherence to sanitary standards when importing animal products and the regular conduct of laboratory analyses to ensure compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements.

The deputy also appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety, requesting complete information on the measures being taken and plans to strengthen protection against transboundary epizootics.
