In honor of the Day of Ak Kalpak, which is an important national symbol of the Kyrgyz people, a special event has been organized at the Memorial House-Museum of M. Frunze.
The Ministry of Culture reported that as part of the program, a lecture dedicated to the history, sacred significance, and features of the ak kalpak is planned. There will also be a mini-exhibition showcasing traditional models of headwear, as well as archival materials and photo documents. Participants will be able to learn about the significance of the ak kalpak in cultural and public life, its symbolism, and relevance in the context of preserving national heritage.
The aim of the event is to promote traditional culture, enhance interest in historical heritage, and foster a respectful attitude towards national symbols.
