In the Kyrgyz Republic, employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), together with the Internal Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained a representative of the Main Department of Road Safety (GUOBDD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Osh region as part of a fraud case.
It has been established that in August 2025, the suspect deceitfully obtained 50,000 soms from citizens "K.Y." and "T.D.", totaling 100,000 soms. This money was given for assistance in obtaining driver's licenses. The funds were transferred via the mobile application "Mbank" to the account details provided by the employee, reports GKNB.
On this fact, on March 4, 2026, investigative authorities detained an employee of the GUOBDD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KR in the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs and placed him in the pre-trial detention center of the GKNB of the KR. Currently, relevant investigative activities are ongoing.
The GKNB of the KR reminds that obtaining a driver's license is allowed only on legal grounds.
