The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR), in joint efforts to combat terrorism, identified and stopped the actions of a minor who was attempting to explore the possibilities of carrying out an attack on his teachers and classmates at one of the educational institutions in the capital.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with this fact under Article 252, Part 1 ("Threat of committing a terrorist act") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, reports the GKNB.
In light of the increasing cases of radicalization among youth, the State Committee for National Security urges parents and educators to have regular conversations with children and to monitor their interests and activities on the internet.
