Erlis Akunbekov met with the Ambassador of Korea in Kyrgyzstan

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Erlis Akunbekov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Kim Kwang-dae. This information was announced by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the conversation, current issues of bilateral relations and opportunities for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea in various fields were discussed, with an emphasis on agriculture and water resource management.

Additionally, the preparation of necessary bilateral documents that are planned to be considered at a high level during the upcoming international event this year was discussed.

It was also noted that cooperation between the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea is actively developing in four key areas: animal husbandry, seed production, food security, and water resources. The parties discussed the possibilities for implementing new joint projects.

Participants in the meeting, including the head of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Kyrgyzstan Lim So Yong and the director of the Korea International Agricultural Program Center (KOPIA) Kwang Seok Chu, expressed gratitude for the successful cooperation and confirmed their readiness to continue joint efforts on current initiatives.

In conclusion, Erlis Akunbekov and Kim Kwang-dae agreed on the necessity of continuing constructive dialogue and deepening mutually beneficial partnership.
