According to law enforcement agencies, the detention occurred during the receipt of monetary funds that, according to the investigation, were extorted from a local resident.
On November 5, 2025, materials from the prosecutor's office of the Osh region regarding the extortion case were received by the local police. These materials reported that T.K., the head of one of the villages in the Alay district, extorted 65,000 soms from citizen B.B., born in 1958. The conflict arose from a dispute over a 1-hectare plot of land intended for haymaking, during which the suspect created significant obstacles to its use.
In connection with this fact, a preliminary investigation was initiated, during which the collected materials became the basis for initiating a criminal case under Article 208 ("Extortion") of the Criminal Code. Operational investigative actions began.
As a result of operational measures carried out by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Alay district, on March 9, 2026, village head T.K., born in 1969, was detained as a suspect while receiving 60,000 soms from the specified amount. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, operational investigative actions are ongoing.
