At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov expressed the opinion that most of the proposed candidates for the position of Minister of Emergency Situations have connections to corruption cases.
The head of state reported that after the dismissal of the previous head of the agency, ten candidates were submitted for consideration.
However, it turned out that nine of them are linked to corruption. "Are there really no honest and worthy people left in public service? We managed to find only one acceptable candidate," said Sadyr Japarov.
It is worth noting that Urmatbek Shamyrykanov was dismissed from the position of Minister of Emergency Situations due to suspicions of receiving a bribe.
