On the morning of March 11, 2026, an avalanche was recorded at the Ala-Bel pass, around the 224th kilometer of the Bishkek–Osh road. Emergency services are currently working at the scene of the incident.
The avalanche is of considerable size: it is approximately 150 meters long, 12 meters wide, and reaches a height of 3 meters.
To address the aftermath of the incident and clear the road, workers and specialized equipment from Road Maintenance Enterprise No. 23 have been dispatched to the site.
In order to ensure road safety and prevent possible emergencies, a temporary ban on all types of vehicles has been implemented on this section of the road since 06:30.
Services continue to work on clearing the debris. Additional information regarding the resumption of traffic will be provided later.
Drivers and passengers are urged to understand the current situation, exercise caution, and strictly adhere to the temporary restrictions. It is recommended to refrain from traveling in this direction until the cleanup operations are completed.
