A group food poisoning incident has been recorded in Bishkek, as reported by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to preliminary data, 13 people sought medical assistance; 11 of them were hospitalized, and 2 received outpatient treatment.
All affected individuals are receiving all necessary medical care.
According to preliminary information, those who fell ill consumed dishes prepared at the "Buffet" cafeteria.
Specialists from the sanitary and epidemiological service conducted an unscheduled inspection of the facility and collected product samples for further laboratory research.
As a result of identified violations, a protocol was drawn up, a fine of 23,000 soms was imposed, and a notice was issued for the temporary suspension of the cafeteria's activities starting from March 11, 2026.
The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
