Vadim Kornilov, manager of Dmitry Bivol, the champion of the WBA, WBO, and IBF in the light heavyweight division, commented on potential opponents for his charge after the upcoming fight.

Bivol, who is set to face Michael Eifert on May 23, has a record of 24 wins and 1 loss.

Kornilov noted: “After this fight, we will discuss options for bouts with Beterbiev, David Benavidez, as well as a possible clash with one of the champions in the cruiserweight division.” Bivol may also have his next fight against the backdrop of the Egyptian pyramids.

According to insider Dan Rafael, Bivol's team has notified the IBF of an agreement reached with Eifert's representatives. The title fight for the IBF belt is expected to take place on May 23 in Giza (Egypt) as part of an event featuring Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeven.

Bivol, who is 35, has not stepped into the ring since February 2025, when he won the title of undisputed world champion by defeating Artur Beterbiev. Meanwhile, 28-year-old Eifert (13-1) has been waiting for his chance to fight for the IBF belt since 2023.
