Dmitry Bivol, the world champion in the light heavyweight division, continues his recovery after back surgery and is slowly but surely returning to athletic form.
Debuting in the professional ring in 2014, Bivol won the world championship title in the light heavyweight division in 2017 and became the undisputed champion in 2025. The only loss in his career came from Artur Beterbiev.
Promoter Vladimir Khryunov reported on the possible organization of a third fight between Bivol and Beterbiev. According to him, Beterbiev is in excellent physical shape and ready for significant bouts. Questions regarding the organization of their meeting remain open.
Khryunov noted that a third meeting between Bivol and Beterbiev is quite realistic now.
Khryunov also commented on whether it would be easier for Beterbiev to negotiate future fights.
Earlier, he mentioned the possibility of a surprise, anticipating a third meeting with Bivol. “Is a trilogy possible?” — Yes. In February of this year, Bivol defeated Beterbiev, becoming the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division. Their first meeting ended with a victory for Beterbiev.
In August, Beterbiev stated that he had done everything possible to organize a third fight, but Bivol's team did not participate in the negotiations. Later, Bivol announced the postponement of his back surgery.
