38-year-old Ukrainian boxer, remaining an undefeated absolute world champion in the heavyweight division, Oleksandr Usyk announced that his next fight will take place in the first half of 2026. This information was shared by Usyk's team director, Serhiy Lapin, in an interview for The Ring magazine.

In his last bout, which took place on July 20, 2025, at London's Wembley Stadium, Usyk defeated British boxer Daniel Dubois, knocking him out in the fifth round. This fight was a rematch between the athletes.

Usyk is currently in the process of medical recovery from a back injury. Previously, he expressed doubts about continuing his career after his second victory over Dubois, but recently stated his intention to continue competing until the age of 41.

Serhiy Lapin also noted that Usyk has plans for about five more fights, however, a third bout with Tyson Fury, who periodically hints at a comeback, is unlikely to take place.
