YouTuber-boxer Jake Paul has made a bold and unexpected move by agreeing to a fight with Anthony Joshua, who was previously the world champion in the heavyweight division. The fight is scheduled for December 19 in Miami (USA). It will consist of eight rounds of three minutes each and will be part of the professional careers of both boxers.

Initially, Paul was supposed to face Gervonta Davis, but that fight was canceled due to Davis's legal issues. After unsuccessful negotiations with Ryan Garcia, Paul's team chose Joshua as the new opponent.

Anthony Joshua is one of the most well-known heavyweights of recent times. His record includes victories over such renowned boxers as Vladimir Klitschko, Andy Ruiz, Joseph Parker, and Alexander Povetkin. Despite his form leaving much to be desired in recent years — he suffered a knockout from Daniel Dubois in 2024 — Joshua remains a serious contender.

For Jake Paul, this fight will be the most significant test of his career, as he has previously fought mainly against veterans and stars who are at the twilight of their careers, such as Mike Tyson. This time, he will face a real heavyweight standing 198 cm tall with a reach of 208 cm.

Although fans remain skeptical about the fight taking place, if Jake Paul indeed steps into the ring with Joshua, it will be one of the most significant events in boxing at the end of the year.
