
Lionel Messi, who turned 38 this year, became part of "Inter Miami" in 2023, signing a contract worth $150 million for two and a half years, including additional bonuses and equity in the club. Now his collaboration with the team will continue for three additional seasons.
Messi will remain a key figure in the "Inter Miami" project and the MLS league, and in 2026 he will participate in the opening of the new stadium *Miami Freedom Park, the construction of which has already begun.

Currently, Messi is the top scorer in MLS with 29 goals and is in contention for the MVP title. His arrival in the league has significantly increased interest in matches and ticket sales.
According to Sportico, by the end of 2025, Messi's total earnings will exceed $1.6 billion, making him one of the richest athletes in history.
