Amir Khan, a former world boxing champion, has proposed to fight Manny Pacquiao, stating that it would serve as a real motivation for him to return to the ring.
Recall that Pacquiao has recently confirmed his intentions to have a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, which could take place in April in Las Vegas, exactly ten years after their first bout. However, Khan believes that a meeting with Pacquiao could be the "one fight" that would prompt him to come out of his sporting hiatus.
Since his last fight in 2022, when Khan lost to Kell Brook, he has not stepped into the ring. Throughout his career, he has repeatedly tried to arrange fights with both Pacquiao and Mayweather, but these encounters never materialized.
In the summer of 2025, Pacquiao returned to boxing after a four-year break and fought champion Mario Barrios, which ended in a draw. At the same time, Mayweather, who retired in 2017, continues to participate in exhibition matches and plans a fight with Mike Tyson.
Pacquiao noted that negotiations for his rematch with Mayweather are at the final stage, and the bout is expected to take place in Las Vegas. There is also a possibility of an exhibition fight with Vasiliy Lomachenko.
